Getting Around
- Use of seatbelts and child car seats are mandatory in Canada
- Speed limits are 50 km/h (30 mph) on streets, and 100 km/h (60 mph) on highways, unless posted otherwise
- Our currency is the Canadian dollar. Denominations under $5 are coins: $1 is known as a “loonie”, and $2 a “toonie”
- You must be age 19 or older to purchase or consume alcohol or cannabis in Ontario
- Smoking is not permitted in public. Please smoke only in designated areas
- Don’t travel with cannabis! While use is legal and regulated for adults, it remains illegal to transport cannabis across the Canadian border
